i spoke to liam as what to do with this brief and expressed my confusion as of what to do for this project, he came up with a novel idea of creating a personnal website that would allow me to further my web design career choice. he gave examples of what i could do, things like a client login, calender and work schedule, video conferencing….etc……. still quite daunting though as i dont even know where to start…arghhhh!!!!

these are my first completed scans ready for import to after effects……..
I started off finding some images on google then printing them out, i then traced the images on to various coloured card using grease proof paper and cut them out, penciled on the detail and scanned them in to photoshop where i built the individual walls and colour corrected them. i did it this way as i wanted to portray a real world effect, with textures, rough edges etc….

Tim Burton is another influence for the style of this project, i want to keep the feel of it dark yet slightly comidic and cutish at the same time, heres another example of what i mean…..

i want to create something that looks real yet in an abstract way for the raven poem, what i will be doing is making all the props for the titles in real life (made paper, card, clothe etc) and scanning them in as to create texturised surfaces, and another level of non true realism. here i have an example of something simular from the opening credits of the lemony snicket motion picture….

my first, and i expect, final idea for the motion project is to create the titles for the fictional film, The Raven -based on the poem by edgar allen poe.
i have been a huge fan of his work and The raven being my favourate poem, it seems like an obvious and exciting chance to bring it to life…. see below for an origional reading….
